Seasons of change

Cam and I had our one night exhibition at Revolver Upstairs recently, and because I've been so busy, haven't had the time to post about it till now. Big thanks to all who made it out there for the show, was great to see everyone there! We painted a wall, showed some new artwork (Each piece is a collaboration), had a good time and left a permanent piece of artwork at the venue.

SUMMER Graffiti Wall and Exhibition from Cam Scale and Aida Sabic

Brought to you by Revolver Upstairs in conjunction with GraffixCreative and DangerFork.

Following the first instalment 'spring' by Royal Deviates....

‘Seasons of Change’ is an exciting new event that will showcase new and established artists both local and international. Seasons of Change is held at Revolver Upstairs on the first Friday of every third month, coinciding with the change of season.

Each event will be totally different to the last dictated by that event's artist/s. All events will feature a large scale mural on outside wall lasting for three months, a one night only exhibition featuring two limited edition prints (editions of 30) and paintings on canvas. Following the event prints will then be available for sale on the DangerFork online store (if not sold out).

The summer event will take place on Friday 2nd December 2011
6pm - 9pm
Starring the Aida Sabic and Cam Scale

The one night show will also include DJ sets by Prowla and Who

So I decided to document my latest painting, it's really cool to look back and see how it developed. This is the direction I'm taking for my next solo show.... I will be using poetry, mythology and the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood as inspiration for this body of work.

Banana A-Peel is Melbourne's diverse arts community coming together to raise money for the victims of the recent flood disasters. More than thirty Melbourne based artists and musicians have generously donated their talents for this charity art exhibition, auction and live show.

The exhibition and auction opens on the 24th of February and kicks off at 6pm in the upstairs gallery of Old Bar, Fitzroy. Bidding starts at $20. Host for the night will be local comedian Andrew McClelland.

The Market...

Well Saturday's market went well... even though it rained we had quite a few visitors. Thanks to all who came down to say hello!

Here are some of Beth's goodies

Creepy Mannequin from a neighbouring stall was giving me funny looks all day....

This was our faveorite visitor of the day... and by far the cutest.

By lunchtime we were soaked and our stall had shrunk to half the size to try and hide everything from the rain under our umbrella (Thanks Mark!)

Looking forward to this week, I will have some new art prints for sale and some of the images have not been exhibited before. Let's hope the weather man keeps his promise and it's a sunny 31 degrees!

I can't believe that September has come around so quick! From the 1st to the 14th is my Solo Show at Hogan Gallery. I have been madly painting for this show for a few months, can't believe it's just around the corner.

A Collection of Portraits, is a group of works on various mediums including acrylic on canvas, acrylic on wood panels and ink on watercolour paper. Subjects are all female and for the most part the inspiration was drawn from song lyrics.

2nd Birthday Show at 696

Well the birthday show was great, the alley was repainted, bodies were painted and there was a heap of art on the walls. It was a great way to celebrate all that Toby and Melika have achieved in such a short time with this space.
